LowLandLions, TEX 2nd place finishers and i34 champions, recently got a chance to sit down with Pandemic.CoD4 team captain Joe "nabore" Amorosa to recap Pandemic's entire European tour. The interview covers all topics from both AEF and TEX including round by round analysis. Check out this sample below:

Due to unforseen problems your group finally turned out to be less than challenging, would you have been more content with the original group or did you simply use these two matches as a warm-up?

I wanted to play a hard match early to get the blood flowing for my team, we couldn't control those events however, and things worked out the way they did in our benefit. The two matches we played were pretty much viewed as getting us back into the fragging state of mind, since most of us had traveling on our minds.

Being one of two North-American teams, were you confident your different style of playing would benefit you against the Europeans?

We didn't feel we had a different style, we felt that this game allows you to be any team you want when the round starts, and the team we choose to be is changing each match. We felt this is probably our biggest strength as a club. We can switch gears instantly and still execute at the same level, no matter what the pace. Our confidence only grew as we kept winning.

You had to take on SK-Gaming, a famous name in gaming. Did this name make you play cautiously or had you already studied them prior to the event, thus knowing what to expect?

We knew going into to the match that any team that plays under the SK name is a threat. We treated every team at the event like an SK gaming to be honest, simply because we had a blind eye to the scene. The SK match was delayed 2 hours and ticked us off a bit, so we had a little extra aggression to our game =D. It just seemed that we were playing our game on strike near perfect, and won many clutch rounds. We haven't done any scouting of these teams prior to the events. Occasional watching of quadv, but nothing more than usual.

Quite unexpectedly we saw the former MYM taking out the Fnatic team, proving they were not to be underrated at all. Did you expect this or had you expected to be facing Fnatic in the next round?

After talking with a confident MYM crew prior to the match I had a gut feeling they were going to pull it out. But then again when are they not confident =D.

Yet somehow it seems they underrated you when you faced one another though as the score clearly speaks for itself with a 13-04 win in your favour, did you know you were capable of defeating them so easily or did you think the outcome was surprising as well?

That outcome came as a surprise, just like LLL said their score versus us was a surprise to them. I think scores like that are horrible reflections of a team's skill level. When you are meeting teams for the first time ever, you're bound to encounter things that totally demolish your setup. The key is adapting, and sometimes you simply don't have the knowledge or the amount of rounds in a half to pull off the switch. We talked about this afterwards, if we played MYM a second time, or LLL a second time, we honestly feel the matches can go either way.
