It has been almost a month since the first round of “The Ridiculously Long
Lasting Stride Xfire Cup 2007,” where CS:S teams are competing not only for a
total prize pool of $24,000, but also for years’ supplies of Stride gum.
On May 4th, the Stride Cup Semi-Finals will begin at 6pm EDT where the advancing
teams, Complexity and EG, Team 3D and JMC will compete for $1000 in cash and a
shot at the Finals on June 21st where more than $12,000 will be on the line. The
Semi-Finals action will be broadcast on Xfire through an exclusive partnership
with EGLN.
During the event from 6:00pm – 12:00pm EDT Xfire users will have a chance to
participate in a “play with the pros” session in games CS 1.6, CS: Source, CoD2,
Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 with pro teams Pandemic, Turmoil, Check-Six,
eGe, ENE, 20ID, HOT, cRucial, and many more! Xfire users that have added pro
player accounts will also be eligible to win prizes including PC games, Stride
gum, video cards, and monitors.
Like any Xfire event, this event is free and open to old and new users (Xfire
