It was a busy night for Pandemic players, as well as the fans. Team Pandemic had all four of its teams playing ESEA matches on Monday evening something that rarely happens.
The night started off with the Counter Strike Source team looking to continue their winning streak after having a dire start to the season. After dropping the first five
matches to start the season, the team was in last place and looking to climb back up. In week three things changed as Pandemic picked up their first win of the season in
overtime which sparked some confidence. Since then the team has rode it out winning the next two matches heading into Monday night. The same pattern would continue as Pandemic
easily handled 50Calibre with strong performances by nickn0it and Volcano.
Next up would be the Counter Strike 1.6 match against Loaded. This was a week three match that had been delayed because of scheduling conflicts between the two teams. The
match went underway at 8:30CST and Loaded only had four players in the server when the game began. Starting on the terrorist side of de_train Pandemic wasn’t dominating even
with an extra player, and Loaded started to gain an early advantage. At the half things would change after switching to the counter-terrorist side as they went on to win the
match sixteen to ten even though they had a few scares from Loaded.
After a perfect two for two start from the Counter Strike teams the Team Fortress 2 squad was ready to go up against Immortal 7 a very strong team in ESEA this season.
While the match wasn’t a must win for Pandemic it could have some early season playoff ramifications so TheFragile and team were taking this match very seriously.
At half the score was all tied up at three a piece and things started to get a little tense as both teams really wanted the win. In the second half Pandemic went on to
dominant and won two very quick rounds to take the victory five to three. This win puts Pandemic atop the ESEA-Invite standings in first place!
The final match of the evening would be Pandemic Ladies versus b34stMOD3 on the famous map de_dust2. After dropping both pistol rounds and being down an automatic six
rounds the ladies couldn’t fight their way back dropping the very close match sixteen to fourteen in an action packed night.
