| Pandemic Sweeps coL for CEVO-P Championship |

Just a few short months ago, Pandemic.TF2 were on top of the Team Fortress world: back-to-back CEVO champions, the CGS pro-am champions, winners of NVISION '08, and owners of virtually every major TF2 title. Their lone loss of the year, in fact, had come only via overseas competition in which they played from home in the states to servers in Europe with horrendous 150+ pings in the otherwise all-European ESL... even then, they still came in 2nd. To say they were on a roll would be putting it mildly.
Then came Complexity.
Fresh off the death of the CGS, the North American powerhouse organization brought with it an alluring shine and promises of greener pastures. Loyalties were broken, interests skewed and the "#1 team in TF2" was released before the situation could worsen.
Immediately, Pandemic turned to the lineup then-known as iDemise to fill in the void. From the January 26th press release, Pandemic manager Chris Lemley stated the following:
"Our former team achieved great success during their time under our banner... at the end of the day however, we can't forget that professional gaming is a business. Business and ethics forced my hand today, and I feel confident that I've done my very best in not finding their 'replacement' but instead finding a lineup that will become the next Team Fortress champion."
Last night, the "new" Pandemic.TF2 proved their manager right and all their doubters wrong. In what Pwnage.TV announcers called 'the most lopsided finals in TF2 history' on live stream, Pandemic swept Complexity in two straight maps, allowing a mere single round (2-0, 5-1) to their counterparts.

Congratulations to Pandemic.TF2 on their phenomenal CEVO season, and a very special thank you to the fans who supported us throughout the roster change -- we needed believers, and we're glad to bring one home so soon for you.
Don't forget that ESEA is still ongoing however, and Pandemic and Complexity will likely face off yet again for another online championship in the very near future. Keep it tuned to TeamPandemic.net and GotFrag.com for all the best Fortress coverage, and keep rooting us on.

sucks for coL they were not able to use any tried and true medic, i know that in Cevo-A swapping out a medic can be difficult, god knows what it must be like at that level of play. |
