| CS Starts Strong, Fizzles Out at Kode5 |

Pandemic's new CS 1.6 division will make the trip to Dallas, Texas this weekend to battle it out with the top 8 Counter-Strike squads in America to determine who earns the lone auto-berth into this summer's Kode5 Grand Finals in Moscow, Russia.
Players will arrive in the Lone Star State on Friday afternoon and plan to attend a brief bootcamp to familiarize themselves with the tournament PCs. Championship play begins early Saturday morning at Lethal Gamers and expects to be concluded by late that evening.
"Fortune favors the prepared and this will be magnified at Kode5," said Chris Lemley, manager of Team Pandemic. "One-day-only events like this are a rarity for these teams...here, you won't have time to go back to your hotel room, fire up a laptop, watch demos and discuss what went wrong. Adjustments will have to be made on the fly and momentum will be that much harder to kill. We need to make sure we're the ones who have it going, and have it going early."
Unlike the organization's other divisions however, this newly-formed team still has much to prove. Their seeding reflects as much, and they'll face off with arguably the hottest CS 1.6 team in North America (x3o) in the first round.
"We know x3o is going to be ready," said Jimmy 'foogz' Koller of Pandemic.CS. "Drew runs a tight ship and always has his team well prepared for big games. That being said, they haven't had many opportunities to play against us since we've been back. They don't have much to work with against us, no anti's, etc. We're ready to be back on LAN."
"Regardless of what happens," he continues, "and regardless of what people expect with us just coming off of two years of Source... we'll be disappointed with anything but first."
"We are nuts when we're on," added Chad 'Daffsta' White, " and we are battle hardened from what we've been through."
