Just days after their win over Team EG on mp_strike, Pandemic.CoD4 returned this Monday to defeat MoB Gaming in the upper bracket finals of the CEVO-P Season 2 playoffs and advance to the grand finals. MoB Gaming, originally the 6th seed heading into playoffs, had been playing extremely well after dominating Frag Dominant (3rd seed) 13-6 in round one of playoffs. Following this win, MoB proceeded then to top the Team Dynamic (2nd seed) to eventually earn their spot in the upper bracket finals.
After losing the knife round on CityStreets, Pandemic started the on the offensive side, usually considered the harder of the two sides. The challenge seemed insignificant, however, as two strong A bombsite pushes put Pandemic ahead 2-0 in the early stages of the first half. MoB answered back in the following rounds, with strong play from MoB's Robert "Sintax" Ryan and Andrew "theimpaler" Coons , trading rounds back and forth before gaining a 4-5 lead over Pandemic.
Stalled for connection problems from David “skinz” Patnode, the match resumed with Pandemic in full force, tying the match back up and then taking a 6-5 lead the following round with an impressive four frags from Jason “crzg” Pielemeier. Pandemic eventually took to the final round of the half, to put themselves in a comfortable 7-5 lead over MoB as the switched to the defensive side.
Starting on defense Pandemic didn't let up their aggressive play style, with Keith “keithsu” Hullenaar and Pielemeier pushing to MoB's base from the B bombsite. Down by 3 rounds, MoB once again retaliated with impressive pushes to bring the game to a 9-8 score in favor of Pandemic. With pressure to not let MoB continue their comeback in the late rounds of the match, Pandemic fell to a 1v1 situation were Hullenaar was able to win a brilliant clutch against Ryan the following round to give Pandemic a much needed boost in momentum before finally clinching away the final 3 rounds and ending the match 13-8 in their favor.

Pandemic now sits in the grand finals waiting to play the winner of the lower bracket. The grand finals will feature a best of three map format with both teams picking a single map and the overtime map as mp_vacant.
