Posted By: Chris Lemley on: 08/26/08  at 11:18AM

Our friends at Dell University have finally opened the doors to the year's first major College Gaming League event just in time to cure the back to school blues. Appropriately dubbed the 'Back 2 School Bash,' the event will be administered by industry-leaders and familiar faces, Esports Services (ESEA), and features over $45,000 in prizes.

Gamers from around the country are invited to enroll in the open competition where they'll be vying for victory in the form of Alienware m15x laptops, Microsoft Zune media players, and thousands in cold hard cash. The best part? Entry is FREE. Dell has issued the following press release:
ROUND ROCK, Texas, August 27, 2008 – Dell’s College Gaming League® (CGL) announces today that registration is open for the exclusive Back-to-School tournaments, battles run from September 15 – October 5, 2008.

School is back in session and the rivalries are heating up both on the field and virtually. CGL is a free gaming league exclusive to college students that plays off of already established school rivalries. CGL provides a community and framework for avid PC and console gamers to connect and compete.
