| Pandemic advances past group stage in ESL |

Pandemic's new World of Warcraft team landed in Europe a few days ago, traveling to Leipzig to do battle with Europe's top teams in a bid to become the ESL Extreme Masters III Global Challenge champions.
Today, Pandemic managed to advance past the group stage, taking the 3rd spot by winning three matches on two losses including a close 3-1 loss against Europe's top team, Nihilum. So far the team has a few things they can work on but they've shown amazing coordination in a number of games and should be dangerous to their upcoming single elimination opponent, the 2nd place finisher of Group B.
The team featuring Nathan “Kintt” Quinn, David “Ohnoes” Atz, and Brian “Caal” McPharlin battled through their first group stage matches on Friday, taking on European favorites x6tence, the Spaniards formerly known as Improved Clicks and the finalists at Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational, and the German team Alternate.
The team suffered a tough loss against the Spaniards but quickly rebounded against their hometown foes, finishing with a 1-1 record for the day that ties them for third in the group. With the top three teams advancing, Pandemic will need a strong Saturday to make it to bracket play. They'll most likely do that with victories over Germans Atrox and Wir nehmen Kerze, but the team has their sights set on something bigger: the match against Nihilum, a game that could secure them top two and reinforce their claim to be championship contenders.
Matches begin at 3AM CST on Saturday.

The match with x6tence didn't end well, but that's understandable considering the team said they had little practice against the Shaman class composition. Against Alternate, they fared much better, showing that they should be a team to be feared at this tournament.
