Last night Pandemic continued their tear through the CEVO Sennheiser Open, sweeping another team as Zombies failed to dent last season's CEVO Champions on cp_badlands.
The victory marks the first in the Grand Final stage of the tournament as Pandemic swept their group during the past two weeks, beating teams like FocaL and cringe on their way towards a tournament victory.
The match against Zombies on cp_badlands went without a hitch as badlands, the first official map to be added to the TF2 list since the game's initial has become one of Pandemic's strongest. Zombies managed to cap middle in only one round, and while they pushed past Pandemic's second to the first, their offense stalled at that point and they failed to win a round.
The match marked newest Pandemic member Eric "hubris" Dean's first game as Demoman with regular demo Alex "alexwut" Anthone taking a backseat. Anthone is unable to attend Nvision 2008 at the end of this month so the team is practicing with Dean in that position in preparation.
Pandemic will play Xensity on cp_gravelpit on Monday with the winner advancing to the upper bracket final and a showdown with the winner of Sway Gaming against Devastation. Match coverage information will be available at a later date.
