Upper Bracker Finals Update:
In one of the most anticipated matches of the event, Pandemic went head to head against Dignitas, considered by many to be a top 3 team in Europe. The match started on Backlot, a map Pandemic is known to play extremely aggressive on both offense and defense. Winning the knife round, Pandemic headed onto defense first where dominant play led to a round one victory. Due to computer problems on both sides, the match was delayed for roughly 5 minutes. As the teams connected back into the server and resumed playing, dignitas was determined to turn things around from the first round. After building up the momentum and taking a 4-2 lead over Pandemic, Dignitas looked like they just may be the ones to stop the Americans.

Pandemic would hear otherwise and despite all the momentum Dignitas had, mounted an impressive comeback with numerous 3v5 and 4v5 comebacks to end the first half with an amazing 8-4 lead. Moving onto offense, Pandemic kept the momentum behind them winning round after round. Unfortunately, their 11 round victory streak finally ended from an impressive round from dignitas, however, Pandemic had the match in their hands with the score at 12-5 to finally finish out the last round, and the match, to an outstanding 13-5 score. This victory advances Pandemic straight into the Grand Finals where they can place no lower than 2nd in the event. The grand finals will be played at 3PM local time or 9AM EST and will be broadcasted by QuadV. Additionally, the finals will use a two map format with both teams choosing a map to play. As the upper bracket winners, Pandemic will only need to win one of the two maps to win the event where their opponent will need to win both maps. Round 3 Update:
Pandemic started things off early in day two with an exciting match against Acer Challenge champions KomaCrew who had previously beaten tournament favorites eSuba. Pandemic started off on defense where a slow, but precise, KomaCrew took their time working the Pandemic defense to take an early lead. Led by their sniper Roby, KomaCrew effectively pinned Pandemic in the bombsites allowing Roby to rotate where needed. Pandemic managed to narrow KomaCrew's lead to 7-5.

In the second half Pandemic came to life after trading rounds as they began to break even with KomaCrew. With well coordinated set nades and smokes, Pandemic's A bombsite pushed looked extremely strong as KomaCrew could do nothing but sit back and attempt to shut Pandemic down from outside the bombsite. Behind excellent teamwork, a 1v1 clutch for David "skinz" Patnode, and the most amazing 1v3 clutch for team leader Joe "nabore" Amorosa to bring the score to 12-10, Pandemic pulled through with their momentum to win their closest match of the event. This now advances Pandemic into the upper bracket finals and at least 3rd place overall here at AEF! Pandemic now goes head to head with Dignitas who only moments ago managed to defeat EG by an impressive 13-6 margin on CityStreets. The match will begin shortly after the tournament admins move the teams' setups as Dignitas is currently setup right behind Pandemic. Round 2 Update:
Hot off their impressive 13-6 victory of SK-Gaming Pandemic headed immediately into their second upper bracket match against none other than MYM on mp_crash. From round 1 Pandemic showed complete dominance taking control of the A bombsite and crash area while pushing the bomb towards the B bombsite for a plant. Behind outstanding play from team leader Joe "nabore" Amorosa, Pandemic managed to win the first half on offense 9-3, giving themselves almost a guaranteed victory as many consider defense the easier side.

While on defense Pandemic kept up their aggressive play style by pushing straight into MYM's spawn and spearheading them in the middle crash site. Pandemic eventually went on to win the match by an impressive 13-4 margin. The team's next match will be tomorrow at 9AM local time or 3AM EST against KomaCrew, a team who managed to upset eSuba in the second round of the upper bracket as well as take first in the Acer Challenge. Round 1 Update:
Pandemic's match against SK was delayed for an extended period of time due to computer problems from multiple SK players. After what seemed like forever, Pandemic and SK started the match on mp_strike with Pandemic taking the knife round and choosing defense to start on. Although the first 6 rounds went back and forth between Pandemic and the Germans, Pandemic managed to pull it together in the later rounds of the half to move onto offense with a comfortable 8-4 lead.

SK-Gaming would not be defeated easily, however, as absolutely brilliant play from L-KING allowed them to take the first two rounds of the half. Pandemic answered back with excellent set nades to through the Germans off their game and began picking apart the holes in their defense one by one to eventually win the match by a 13-6 margin.

Pandemic will now play Meet Your Makers who pulled off an incredible comback from 1-6 against fnatic to win their match on citystreets on 13-6! You can catch all the action LIVE in minutes on QuadV! Be sure to check out the pregame interviews as well!

Despite a plethora of delays due to computer problems and teams missing their match times, Pandemic was able to finish out their group stage matches before the venue closed for the evening. Topping their group, Pandemic now advances directly into the playoff double elimination bracket where they will go head to head with SK-Gaming in the first round of the upper bracket.

Like Pandemic, SK-Gaming managed to win both their group stage matches with relative ease, defeating Tryface 13-4 and then overcoming the Roskilde Ravens by a 13-7 margin. The winner of this match will advance to the second round of the upper bracket where they will meet the victor of Fnatic.CoD4 vs MeetYourMakers.

While Fnatic easily advanced through their group, MYM had significantly more trouble, first losing an extremely close match to Serious Gaming (11-13) and then tying NCS-Gaming to only advance based on the amount of rounds won throughout the group.

In the second group stage, MYM was able to easily defeat Team Impact from Italy, but came up against a wall known as UF-Gaming, a team that only lost 10-13 against EG yesterday in the first group stage. The match came down to the very last round on crossfire where D1ablo from MYM was able to pull out a very nice 1v1 clutch on defense to win the round and push MYM over the top and win the match by a narrow 13-11 margin.

Before all this tournament action kicks off, however, Pandemic.CoD4 will be participating in an Xfire Play with the Pros event with Tek-9 around 5PM local time or 11AM EST. Be sure to check out Xfire's website for complete details if you wish to play with Pandemic and Tek-9.
