Team Pandemic - News - Pandemic's JoYful Return to DotA

Conway, Arkansas - July 18, 2008 - Team Pandemic LLC. is proud to it will once again be Defending the Ancients thanks to the addition of the team that's taken the scene by storm, The Jukes on You.

Pandemic's previous DotA team, led by the infamous Larry "Fachh" Li, was successful until they disbanded in late '06. The Jukes on You will look to continue where their predecessors left off, representing the USA at the eSports World Cup this August in San Jose after taking first in the ESWC USA Qualifier over tough opponents like EG.

“We are excited to make our return to competitive DotA with this young but proven squad," said Chris Lemley, President of TeamPandemic, LLC. "They have shown me a real desire to compete and win in a game they all love, and they understand what it takes to make such a non-traditional eSport sponsorship a success for us as an organization. Not only does 'JoY' carry a significant connection to their community, but they go out of their way to give back as well. We're also very proud to support their efforts to aid the 'Child's Play' charities through their upcoming DotA For Kids events."

Team JoY formed from the ashes of few top teams like XsK, taking some core players and adding other key pieces to form the current lineup that appears to already be prepped for championship play.

"I’ve always been a big fan of the Pandemic organization, as well as the old Pandemic DotA team," said Mohamed "mO-" Nasar, the team captain, "It’s a great privilege to finally be playing under a strong organization that will help us with LAN events and help us take the next step competitively. With Pandemic supporting us now, we can finally start playing more LAN tourneys and hopefully become the next North American powerhouse."
